Tim Wald, PT, DPT
Tim Wald, PT, DPT

Owner/Physical Therapist

Tim received his Bachelor Degree in Exercise Science (2003) and Doctorate of Physical Therapy Degree (2005) from the University of Mary in Bismarck, ND. He enjoys treating children of all ages (0-21) and has experience in treating children with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Down’s Syndrome, ADHD and multiple other neuromuscular and orthopedic conditions. In his spare time, Tim enjoys spending time with his wife and four children as well as snowshoeing, gardening and fishing. He is currently serving in the US Army Reserves, is an Assistant Den Leader with Cub Scout Pack 33 and is a member of the Knights of Columbus. Tim places his passion and love for helping children succeed into every treatment session and focuses on family centered therapy.

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant & Therapy Manager

Danielle achieved a Bachelors of Science in Psychology in 2014 from UTEP and an Associates of Applied Science in OTA from Pima Medical Institute in 2018. She started as an intern at Love Therapy Service, and since 2018, Danielle has been a dedicated COTA to both her patients and colleagues. She is proudest when she can mentor OTA students, and watch them blossom into wonderful therapists. Miss Danielle is cultured in art, music, literature and video games. She is open minded and empathetic, and the go to lady at Love Therapy Service 

Trish Dunbar

Authorization Specialist/Biller

Trish has been a vital part of the team since 2021. She has a degree from Western Technical college and has dedicated over 25 years in the insurance field. She has an immense knowledge of medical billing and coding, and a big heart to go with it. The love for her job shows when her face lights up as each patient walks through the door. Trish is a full blown Texas gal, and  loves a good chicken fried steak. When she's not in the office, she’s probably crafting or working on another Cricut project.

Front Office Coordinator/Scheduler

Amanda’s lifelong dream of working in the medical field fueled her to complete several degrees from El Paso Community College and Central New Mexico (2020). Amanda has an Associates of Health Information, Certificate in Pre Physical Therapy, Certificate of Health,Wellness & Public Safety and Associates of Electronic Health information.  When she’s not busy taking calls, greeting patients and coordinating appointments, you can find her hanging out with family or watching a good Hallmark movie, specifically a Christmas one.

Speech-Language Pathologist

Miss Veronica is a talented professional performer, she sings and dances in the local Viva El Paso! Production. She has a Masters of Science from the University of Texas at El Paso. She was inspired to pursue this career as a child while learning sign language to communicate with her God-Brother. Veronica has been with Love Therapy Service since 2022 , she specializes in Autism treatment, working with nonverbal children, Apraxia and Aphasia. She has a passion for developing speech related apps and toys for needy individuals. Her outside of the box approach is a valuable asset, her patients benefit from both her creative and scientific qualities.

Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant

Amanda is a graduate of Eastern New Mexico University, with a B.S. Communicative Disorder. She is inspired by Dr. Swift of ENMU and the innovations in the speech language and hearing fields. Amanda has an abundance of passion for her patients and uses her silly and artistic ways to form trust. Miss Amanda loves voice acting, singing, and knitting. She started her career here in 2024.

Marketing Manager

As Marketing Manager, Valerie is responsible for driving brand awareness, managing social media channels, and developing strategies to attract new clients to Love Therapy Services. Her background is in business development and she has dedicated over 15 years developing design and branding skills. She coordinates marketing events to promote the clinic and strengthen its community presence. Valerie’s efforts play a key role in creating an inviting atmosphere for both patients and staff, making sure the clinic’s message of care and support is always communicated. Away from work, she is a volleyball mom, and spends time baking for her small cake business.

Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant

Jaqueline is a fresh 2024 UTEP graduate, specializing in supporting individuals with speech and communication challenges, particularly those with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Inspired by her nephew, who is Autistic, she has a particularly strong focus on creating safe and trusting environments where patients feel comfortable and empowered to work toward their communication goals. Jackie's caring nature, resilience in the face of challenges, and commitment to her patients make her a great asset to the Love Therapy team.  Outside of her professional work, she spends time with her supportive family, laughing at her favorite shows, and improving her dance skills.

We are excited to introduce Jordan, who holds a Bachelor's degree from Texas Christian University (2017) and a Master's of Science from TCU (2019). Jordan finds great fulfillment in witnessing children experience "ah-ha" moments when they are able to communicate effectively for the first time. This powerful experience fuels her passion and purpose—helping others reach their full potential. Known for her empathy, open-mindedness, and family-centered approach, Jordan thrives in building strong connections with both patients and families. She is particularly proud of her accomplishments in learning Spanish and serving as a mentor to SLP students. Jordan is deeply committed to working with non-verbal children, as well as treating feeding/swallowing issues, early language development, and acquired brain injury. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys exploring new places and foods, especially Tex-Mex cuisine.

Occupational Therapist

Love Therapy is thrilled to welcome Rachel Torres to our team. She has a Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from Texas Woman's University and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Texas A&M University. With a deep compassion for her patients, Rachel is dedicated to helping each individual reach their goals. She has a special focus on sensory processing and feeding difficulties, areas she feels particularly passionate about, given the challenges these concerns can present to families. Rachel’s expertise in the field is well-recognized, as she was invited to speak at the Canadian Occupational Therapy Association conference. Her collaborative work has supported both veterans and children with autism in their healing journeys. A fun and outgoing addition to our team, Rachel enjoys spending her free time kayaking, reading, and hanging out with her dog, Remy.
 

Emily Tovar, COTA
Emily Tovar, COTA

Emily received her Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology from Our Lady of the Lake University and her Associate Degree in Occupational Therapy from PIMA Medical Institute. She has always had a strong interest in healthcare and a passion for working with children. As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), she enjoys using play-based approaches to support children in developing fine motor skills and self-regulation. Her therapy sessions often include sensory play, movement games, crafts, and simple cooking activities, all designed to make therapy fun, engaging, and meaningful. Miss Emily brings warmth, energy, and a love for helping children grow into every session, with a focus on creating a fun, supportive, and child-centered environment.

Emily is known for her patient, creative, and playful approach, always seeking new and innovative ways to support her clients. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring new places and restaurants, photography, and traveling as a way to fuel her creativity. She’s an avid fan of The New York Times word games, enjoys good shows, and loves hosting board game nights with friends and family.

April Banuelos, COTA
April Banuelos, COTA

April Banuelos is a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) who received her training from PIMA Medical Institute. She has a deep passion for working with children and brings extensive experience in supporting kids with food aversions and sensory processing challenges. April has worked with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Sensory Processing Disorder, Down Syndrome, ADHD, and developmental delays. She is inspired by watching children grow, develop new skills, and form meaningful bonds through therapy—each connection as unique as the child themselves.

April is known for her fun, enthusiastic, and problem-solving personality, and she strives to make every session engaging and personalized. She believes in the power of play and creativity to help children achieve their goals while building confidence along the way.

Outside of work, April is a Disney superfan and loves everything from the movies to the park themes. She dreams of one day running in the Disney Run Marathon. She also enjoys baking desserts, attending concerts, and traveling—especially to Disneyland of course. Most of all, she loves making lasting memories with her three daughters, who are the heart of her world.

Tina Jones, SLP

Tina received her Bachelor’s Degree in Speech Pathology from the University of Nevada, Reno and her Master’s Degree in Communication Sciences & Disorders from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa in 2024. She is currently completing her Clinical Fellowship Year as a Speech-Language Pathologist with Love Therapy Services. Her passion for the field was sparked by her time working with special needs and medically complex children in an early childhood education setting, where she was inspired by the meaningful impact of therapy professionals.

Tina has clinical experience working with diverse and multicultural populations across a range of settings, including the Hawaii Department of Education, outpatient rehabilitation clinics, early intervention programs, and inpatient military hospital systems. She enjoys helping individuals communicate what they want to say—whether it's a sound, a story, or a joke—and aims to make therapy fun, engaging, and full of laughter and encouragement.

In her free time, Miss Tina enjoys traveling, baking, and cheering on the Oakland A’s. She recently picked up vinyl record collecting as a new hobby, but what she loves most is being a mom to her sweet baby boy, Tanner.
